Thursday, July 10, 2003 Changes* By GlitterZim There are certain things that are needed to move a band forward; in this case, it's the right live musicians. Pleistoscene has gone through many line changes and do not fill a position just to have it filled. “It has to be the right mix of talent, charisma, dedication and that elusive quality that makes people stand out from the crowd.” Zim Zum states. “The hardest part is that most people will say anything to get a foot in the door, but then they slowly, but surely fall flat when it comes to backing it up and they actually act surprised at what is expected of them.“ Bringing new people in will cost the band time, because the new person/people have to learn the songs quickly. Then they have to rebook shows and alter the promotional stuff. “There are some really good players that have sent in demos and auditioned,” says Zim, “I really feel like the possibility of having the songs as big as they are on the disc is finally materializing.” “The one thing I can do is release the CD(s). So, yes, I am moving forward with that. The artwork and packaging is very important to me so, it’s very detailed.” The Pleistoscene disc(s) will be released on Zim Zum’s own record label and will feature not only the music, but video and extra multi-media content. Sunday, May 25, 2003 P.I.S.T. Rocks! by GlitterZim With the summer tour season fast approaching Pleistoscene have been rehearsing like crazy to take advantage of it! Some of the places they'll play are Chicago, Detroit, Milwaukee, Cleveland, Indiana, and Toronto (Canada). Dates (and perhaps more cities?) will be announced next month. Those in the know have taken notice of the militant P.I.S.T members and their dedication to Pleistoscene, as pointed out in the recent newletter: The very first P.I.S.T. Campaign had 3 of the world's largest music magazines actually write to Pleistoscene asking them to "call off the dogs" (P.I.S.T.- of course) because of the amout of e-mails they received telling them about Pleistoscene. Keep up the amazing work guys and gals! You have made a difference! Pleistoscene need you once again, as they get ready to embark on their very first tour! Friday, May 9, 2003 Website, Live Shows ZIM ZUM: Hello. just to let anyone interested know, we - Plesitoscene - are rehearsing in Chicago in what has become my 2nd favorite place - 2nd only to 25/8. Rehearsals will go for a little more than 6 weeks. Shows will be announced sometime in June. The site will undergo a few changes and there will be alot of additions to the photo pages. see you soon.
